The other day I got this book about making little decorative items with a laminating machine. Sounded like fun, so I tried it out today. I used some scrapbooking paper that I got free with a magazine and a few eyelets. I think this will make a cute additional birthday goodie…

In this book “Mit Kindern wohnen” I saw how someone wrote the first few lines of “Where the wild things are” in a spiral on their wall. “Where the wild things are” is my favourite children’s book and I would so like to copy that, but I’m all thumbs, so I figured I could do [...]

Creating Keepsakes offers a free photo book from Shutterfly at the moment. Usually I don’t use Shutterfly because the postage is quite high for me, but in this case the book is a real bargain. The offer is good for a 20 page, 7×9 soft cover book. I had tons of pictures from two trips [...]

Today is the first day of Jessica’s class Holidays in hand. I got all the stuff done basically, so I’m pretty happy.
* Write down goals for this Christmas season – check
I created a nice wordle which I might be able to use later on in the class, not sure yet, but I will definitely [...]

In February 2007 I changed the cover of this cheap photo album to use it as a recipe book and today, more than two and a half years later, I finally managed to add some recipes to it. I don’t even remember what I did that for, oh yes, I think I did it with [...]

I know, my scrapbooking activities leave a lot to be desired these days. So maybe this will get me back into the swing of things. Jessica Sprague offers a free class “Holidays in Hands” where you create a December album project. Jessica’s classes are awesome, I know this from “Digi in deep” which I took [...]

Now that I’ve finished my 2008 book I’m starting to plan my 2009 one. I already did one page (yes, one) using the Life 365 collection from Weeds and Wildflowers. Originally I wanted to use this collection for the whole book, but only after one page I’m beginning to have my doubts. Do I really [...]

I finally finished my photobook 2008. Considering it’s only September 2009, not bad going, huh? I haven’t even started scrapping any pictures of 2009, that’s going to be hard. Anyway, the title page of the book for 2008 is going to be a page I did early in 2008 for the ADSR. It was a [...]

Today I finally finished the clock. All I had to do was cut out the squares and put them in, God knows why it took me weeks to do it. The photo cube from Nanu Nana turned out rather nicely, too. I used various quotes on work and it’s now sitting on my desk at [...]

At Nanu Nana I found those dead cheap photo cubes in different sizes. Won’t they be a terrific gift for someone? With inspirational or fun quotes? I’m planning to do one for me for the office with sassy quotes about co-workers, LOL.

is not finished yet, but I managed to get 8 pages done for it. I’m not sure whether I want to put pictures in some or not. So, just to make sure, I have 8 squares ready.
That was easy as pie. Remember the cre8ive album we did in the Jessica Sprague class? I used some [...]

I saw a photo decor clock in one of Donna Downey’s books once and thought that was the coolest idea. But then it would have been too paper scrapbooking-ish for me, so I shied away from it. But now I saw a clock on amazon, which is for just slipping photos in the eight free [...]

Savannah commented on my post below about the England album that she couldn’t see it on Safari either. I have no clue why that is. I thought it was Porta having problems after the Firefox update, but obviously MAC and Safari have problems, too. Anyway, I uploaded the pics on photobucket – God, I didn’t [...]

So, I managed to take a few pics and get them into a web album today. These are some of the pages of our holiday album. The album doesn#t show well at all with my Firefox, I don’t know why. So, if it looks funny with a small frame, please try IE, it works fine [...]

Nicole from "Der Scrapbook-Laden" gave me an award that I’m going to pass on. Have to think though about to whom. I’m always so lame when it comes to that.
Nicole, thanks so much for it. I totally agree with what you said. I think we would get along splendidly. Too bad you live quite a [...]

Anyone miss me? Didn’t think so. Well, we are back from our vacation and I’m ready and eager to start working on my vacation album. I already ogled the Happy as a lark quickpage album by Paislee Press before I left, so now I finally got it and a few nice tidbits on [...]

I bought a black bag the other day for which you can create your own inserts for the flap. Much bigger than a princess bag, so it will be great for all the stuff I’m carrying around all the time.
So, yesterday I actually managed to sit down and create an insert for it – [...]

Today the quote album arrived here. I’m amazed at the speed. It turned out beautifully. Just the right size to carry around, due to the (not quite) clear plastic cover it is quite sturdy and it looks great. Here are a couple of pictures – sorry I took them with a small camera and without [...]

Thanks to Michele from The Shakerbox who pointed me into the direction of The Big Picture today I am now looking forward to two new projects.
First I registerd for the "Get a load of this!" workshop. For one month I’ll create a layout every day. Lain will give prompts, or rather helpful suggestions, but everybody [...]
