I read about a new book in the paper just now. It’s called "The architecture of happiness" by French philosopher Alain DeBotton. It’s not really new, but obviously they only published it in German now. Even though I’m not into the topic per se, it might be a good book to read. When I checked [...]

It’s Mother’s Day, but this is really my husband’s topic. His book that he has been writing for an eternity has been published on book locker and, of course, I need to plug it blog about it. The name of the book is "Darkness crawls apace".
If you like detective stories in the style of Holmes [...]

I was doing one of my cre8ive album pages today and instead of a short quote I wanted to include a paragraph of one of my favorite short stories (if you can call it that, actually it is a manifesto). In order to be able to point people who might have a look at my [...]

On my igoogle page today’s quote of the day is:
"Books are ships which pass through the vast sea of time."
by Francis Bacon.
Now, doesn’t that call for a special book page? I think so. I’ll keep this in mind [...]

*Speech*
Today we went with Sean to a new therapist. Our ped had recommended to go to a speech therapist who also knows Castillo Morales therapy. Luckily we found one who could have a look at him right away. Obviously there are only a handful of them around in our area. So from next week on, [...]

Today normal life has started again. And it came back with a vengeance. Not only did I have to go back to work, but today was the first day of my almost full-time job. From now on it’s 30 hours a week spread over 4 days. So at least I will have a three day [...]

Thanks to Michele from The Shakerbox who pointed me into the direction of The Big Picture today I am now looking forward to two new projects.
First I registerd for the "Get a load of this!" workshop. For one month I’ll create a layout every day. Lain will give prompts, or rather helpful suggestions, but everybody [...]

…my subscription to the Digital Scrapbooking Magazine from Simple Scrapbooks. After my rant about their charter subscription I decided I can’t live without it any longer and got it anyway. I’m weak. And since my subscription will kick in probably only in about 8 weeks I’m even considering getting the current issue from IdeaBooks4U. At [...]

Creating Keepsakes is bringing out another special magazine "Computer tricks for Scrapbookers" which sounds quite interesting for digi scrappers, even though it seems to be targeting mainly paper scrappers. Jessica Sprague, whom you probably know from her SpragueLab, is talking about "how to create inspiring borders, accents, titles, photos and more with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions". [...]

Our photobook arived yesterday. And I absolutley love it. I had it done with Fotobuch. I had a few issues with the software because I used the older version and couldn’t even connect to the ftp server anymore, but in the end it worked out with a special upload link. I couldn’t be more pleased [...]
