Tough Guy

Wow, I scrapped today, I’m surprised. That layout has been sitting half finished on my HD for weeks, I just couldn’t do anything with it. Until today when I opened the Scrapbooks etc. newsletter from some weeks ago and saw an awesome layout by Ali Edwards. I so lifted it, it’s not funny. This also [...]

The color of my personality

There is this Facebook quiz that tells you the color of your personality and gives you some general ideas about your character. The usual, really, but I liked the color idea so much that I decided to turn the quiz result into a page for my AAM album.
Thanks to Idee Labs I had many [...]

On Nina’s blog there is a little inspiration game going on. Go, play and maybe win a 10$ GC for her shop at Oscraps. She provides a great quickpage to start with, too.
This is what I came up with. I really don’t like to see those guys hanging around like this.

Cinnamon Roll – revised

Following my decision from yesterday I started to create my first page for the photobook 2009 and posted it on facebook. Needless to say after posting it I realized that I had forgotten an “l” in “indulgence”, so I had to go back and correct the page. Then I was told about the nutrition value [...]

I finally finished my photobook 2008. Considering it’s only September 2009, not bad going, huh? I haven’t even started scrapping any pictures of 2009, that’s going to be hard. Anyway, the title page of the book for 2008 is going to be a page I did early in 2008 for the ADSR. It was a [...]

Whisper down the lane #1

At Nina’s CT there is a challenge called Whisper down the lane. We are given a layout to scraplift, pass our page on to the next member who is to scraplift our page and so on. It is fascinating how the layout changes over time and sometimes comes back to the original without ever having [...]

Ha, my first ADSR layout

The first challenge sounded quite good, so I went to work right away. I decided to not rip up my photo and since I’m no official participant I can do as I please and not get punished, LOL. Instead I opted for another great action by Panos and turned my photo into a small puzzle. This [...]

Hollyhock

I actually scrapped today, well, I scraplifted rather. In "Computr tricks fro scrapbookers 2" I saw a stunning page by Joanna Bolick (p. 76) and decided to re-create it digitally. The topic was about a punching guide for lining up brads, which i didn’t use at all, but the page still comes very close to [...]

More pages

Hey, the O’Escape really has me going again – amazing, I’m so happy that my mojo is back.
I created another three pages. For the monochromatic challenge I did this:

O’Escape at Oscraps

Ha, it seems that the O’Escape challenges over at Oscraps have brought some of my mojo back. I not only created a pair of flip flops but also a page for the wordart challenge. I also finally started a two pager about our visit to the dino museum which was weeks ago. [...]

Wow, a layout

Right, I went shopping today and got loads of Nina’s new stuff over at Oscraps. She has some gorgeous templates and kits again. I wanted to keep it quick and simple and that worked out fine. It took me about 10 minutes while I was chatting with Nina, so you see, with a template and [...]

New product

Hm, I have no idea whether anybody besides me would ever use this alpha, but I loved the idea, so I turned it into an alpha set for the few geeky scrapbookers out there. I actually used it on one of my bag inserts, see below.

I didn’t use the same font on the insert as [...]

A little update

Just to keep everybody updated on our activities. I’m not very active at the moment due to all sorts of reasons.
Sean and Corin are having lots of fun in the garden. We bought them a little slide – actually too small for Corin, but he’s enjoying it nevertheless. Sean is having a [...]

Coffee addiction

I’ve been in a scrapping rut lately and didn’t do any scrapping whatsoever. But slowly I’m getting back into things. I created this around our stamp cards from our local coffee shop that we frequently visit – as you can see from the number of cards and stamps.

Sue Cummings challenge

Sue Cummings is the Designer Spotlight over at Oscraps and has an awesome freebie and a challenge for us. I only heard about it this morning, so I whipped up a page really quick. A few pics from our last vacation in the UK.

Sue Cummings’ Scrap Apple inspirations are such fun, so I did another page for her contest. The deadline was yesterday, so I finished my page at the last moment. I used her inspirations for snapshots and photos.

Quote album finished

I finished my quote album – thank God! I looked for a service to have it bound into a little book, and only two days ago I fund one that I liked and that was reasonably priced. I thought about the Shutterfly brag book (horrendous postage), the CEWE rectangle photo book (upload didn’t work for [...]

I DO get stuff done

Ha, you thought I’m not getting anything done anymore. Wrong! I do get stuff done – some. I’m still working on lesson4 of the class, and it’s Friday already. Unbelievable how slow I am. I finished a number of pages for my Cre8ive album. All in all I have 20 pages now, am not sure [...]

Think of Jolina!

Jolina is a cute little girl with DS who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. If you’d like to see the most gorgeous pictures of her, please go to Conny Wenk’s blog here: Conny Wenk News Blog. Include her in your thoughts or prayers, please.
Since her pictures were the cutest, I had to scrap a few [...]

No, I’m not dead

but Jessica keeps us busy all week. It’s Wednesday and I just finished my first assignment for this week. Lots to do still. But FUN, I tell you! This is my page for lesson 3.

This technique with the frames is the coolest thing ever. Totally love it.

Have you seen Sue Cummings’ contest over at Oscraps? I was looking at her scrap apple inspirational wordart the other day and decided to enter. I bought her set for week 8 and got my page done yesterday. I killed two birds with one stone, because I created the page with a template I made [...]

Digi: in deep (cont.)

Nothing else to talk about, I’m spending all my spare time scrapping like a mad woman. Jessica keeps us as busy as anything. I finished two assignments since Monday, but still have loads to do. Please, have a careful look at my hand stitched star. Now you know why I prefer digi. I have two [...]

Once more

Sean has gotten around to use another sign. He sometimes uses others that look vaguely familiar, he obviously creates his own signs based on the ones we use. But the only two he definitely uses regularly are the one for bathing and the new "once more" sign. He especially loves to use it when we [...]

digi: in deep, still lesson 1

Jessica keeps us very busy. But so far I’m caught up, finished my two layouts for lesson 1, am thinking about my project (have time until end of class) and finished my part one of my album (had time until Thursday next week). So I’m all set for Monday.
This is my second page, using the [...]

Digi in deep – lesson 1

I finished the first part of lesson one and created my first page. Actually it isn’t altogether my page because it is a very close (not to say 100%, I did change a little bit) copy of Jessica’s sample page. I only used two other papers than she did, other than that it is extremely [...]

Wings!

Some people know that I’m not too overly fond of wings, especially after I saw hundreds of altered pages with wings recently. Hey, there are more elements than just wings that you can use on an altered layout, honestly!
So imagine my joy, when I found out that the next challenge hosted by KB and freinds [...]
